Baker Hughes- A huge multinational oil corporate

Baker Hughes is one of the largest oil companies in the world which is specialized in the field of serving the oil and gas industry. Its headquarter is located in USA and it has about 90 branches all over the world across the five continents, but it mainly focusses on oil rich countries. It was originally established in 1987 by the merge of two huge companies, Baker and Hughes. The corporate has a long history of acquisitions and merging with many companies. The most famous of them is Schlumberger.

So when you hear about an oil and gas services company, for sure 80% of people would think the logo contains a symbol of oil drop or a driller as it common in many logos. But actually Baker Hughes logo is a view of the symbol of earth that intended to show that it is multinational corporate expanding –and truly they are- and the name of the company written in bold and black font that reflects greatness and confidence somehow.

The logo has different versions but most of them are the same design but with just different colors. Here is one with exactly the same design but with black earth slogan and other with white slogan and black background. Actually the original Baker Hughes logo is the blue one and the other two versions are some kind of artwork.

It is the name of the corporate written in black and blue without the bold font found in all the others and just over them lies a shape that represents the pole of the earth and the main four directions. It is designed to show that the company is expanding all over the earth in and again it points to the level of the globalization and maturity the corporate has reached. The earth slogan is common across all the logos which reveal how much the company catch opportunities to expand and of course it is related to their main activity as an oil company, drilling.

Baker Hughes is large oil corporate whose history originates from just 25 years only but it showed success and growth that really made them rank in the first positions . They are still growing till these days and as long as there is oil under the ground, this company will seize the opportunity and grow. But in the far future when the world suffer lack of energy sources, who knows what will happen to Baker Hughes and other oil corporates.
